Located just east of I-35 near downtown, the East Austin area is really taking off. Cenote is one of the many independent coffee shops that is populating this area of town much like the many coffee shops of the Mission District of San Francisco. On Friday evenings they have comedy open mic night and live music Saturdays.

The little house used to be a church so the pavement is inscribed with verses.

Inside is a charming home like parlor. They used to use Cuvee beans from a local roaster. Now they have brought in Handsome Coffee from LA.

Definitely comfortable and definitely great coffee.

Check out their black and bright blue ride outside
