It is so hard to find even with google maps. It is in the same building as Farewell Books.
Since Austin is Austin, there is no Flat Track signage at the door. And the door is NOT on Cesar Chavez. It’s on San Marcos.
But it’s worth it. They roast but do not over-roast. I had a Costa Rican bean that normally would not be one of my preferred beans. But it was not too dark, or acidic and was quite neutral and fragrant. She brings that with her to Austin in this super cute place.
Matt Bolick and Sterling Roberts are the visionaries and owners. They are also artists and the wood work and metal work at this small café are all their own.
What more do you want? Great coffee from an artistic and high quality independent café!
Having said that, it is small by Texas standards but very quaint. It’s a couple of blocks from Brew & Brew and in line of sight to Cenote. So do go by.
