This smallish cafe located 1/2 floor above street level is owned and operated by a coffee lover. His pour over coffees are very good, and the shots not too shabby either. While he does not have the latest espresso high end machine, he more than makes up the shot in knowing his grind, the tamp and the extraction process.
He is a selfless resource for the Boston coffee scene. I got the most recommendations for places to try out and his thoughts about other indie coffee places.
Their bagels are very good, so test that out.
