Service: 77.5%

Vibe: 82.5%

1 Short Macchiato, 1 Cappuccino

Summary:

Melanie and Jay own the place and are awesome people. You cannot find friendlier. Ceilidh is the manager and she is great too.

The place is also superbly decorated and designed. It is so comfy and cool. I could not really imagine a suburban coffee shop so nice. Wish it were in Dallas. 🙁 But it was worth the drive.

They use Davis Street Espresso beans which is a local roaster in Oak Cliff. The owners know coffee and love coffee. It really makes a difference.

As the place takes hold, the latte art will get better. But they have a very dialed in La Marzocco Linea and it is pulling very nice shots.

The place is a great hangout and I highly recommend it.

Correction on the post. Roots uses Rogue Espresso from Novel Coffee Roasters. It pulls a smooth and syrupy shot that is balanced and rich.
