Now that is a different name. When the owner decided to open a coffee shop, there was a discussion about the amount of grams in a dose of coffee. That morphed into the approximate amount of beans to equal that dosage in grams thus the name. 50 beans is the approximate amount of coffee they use to dose their drinks. I happened to pass by the narrow street in Sheung Wan on opening day. There I found out one of the owners is a pilot. They have equipped themselves well with a nice 2 head Slayer. The coffee was from a local roaster and while the establishment is new, they are going to add to coffee, cakes and savory food items. Since it was open till 6pm, I had ended up visiting 3 times in the week I was in Hong Kong. It is competitive in Sheung Wan, Cupping Room is less than 100 yards away. But if they provide consistent coffee and food, they will do well. At least for now, the atmosphere is much more relaxing that some of the other packed in coffee places.
